Back to Facility Projects

At Seneca School, the school district invested in a water drainage and paving project that played a major role in preserving the structural integrity of the building. This project successfully routed water away from the building, preventing further damage to the foundation and walls. As part of this project, a new and safer bus drop-off area for students was also built.

The old boiler had to be replaced when it could no longer be repaired.

Handicap access has been improved in the parking areas and building entrances. (Federal requirements / American Disabilities Act)

Other projects have been accomplished with the assistance of grants, PTA support, and community involvement. For example:

  • Outdated lighting was retrofitted with energy-efficient fixtures with the help of a no-interest loan

  • The kitchen remodeling was a joint project between PTA funding, community donations, and district labor

  • The classic red and white building was given a fresh coat of paint with the help of community members

  • In addition, the dedicated custodial staff works hard on a daily basis to maintain and repair buildings with limited funds.
