George Perreard was the SES principal for school years 1967-1969. In 1995 George was invited to attend Seneca's 100th anniversary celebration but was unable to make the trip due to a serious, and ultimately terminal illness. In his stead he mailed over 200 35mm slides of photographs he had taken during his time as the principal in Seneca.Unlike today, with everyone carrying cameras and video camcorders of all types wherever they go, in the 60's and earlier, a camera was seldom seen except in very special circumstances. George Perreard was ahead of his time and was the exception to that rule. His 35mm camera was always by his side or in his hands. Examples of many of those slides taken so many years ago can be found here in this collection. |
